Cappuccinos Cakes are a" Work of Art"
Cappuccinos is a full scale bakery with freshly made breads, pastries,cakes,tarts and pies.  
our  gourmet coffee is roasted for us by Mill's coffee in Providence RI.  We serve light breakfast and lunch daily.  We do catering and box lunches.  Check out our Tuscan Pottery made just for Cappuccinos in Montelupo, Northern Italy in our Tuscan Cafe.

OUR STORY
Established in 1983 in Newport RI, we have grown to be recognized as the " Premier Bakery" in N.E. Specializing in wedding cakes and European style pastries, our reputation is renown by our customers worldwide and a local "Must Do" with venues, florists and caterers. Just ask them!!

The owners of the bakery are Paul Donnelly and Patti Botelho. Paul's training includes serving two apprenticeships under European Award winning chefs from France and the Black Forest of Germany. Experienced chef and restaurant consultant, he has owned three restaurants and still teaches students from The Johnson and Wales University, a prestigious pastry arts school here in RI. Patti is a graduate of The Libby Hillman Culinary School, owned and operated by the famous cookbook author. She is also the former owner of a Vermont bakery and a popular 4-Star RI restaurant featuring her award winning desserts. Patti's extensive experience includes Head Pastry Chef of the historical White Horse Tavern in Newport, RI receiving 2 awards for best Chocolate Dessert cake in Rl., first place in New England's best Apple pie contest. And big in Newport, first place in the Irish bread contest. Executive chef and own of Country Cuisine Catering, an upscale service favored by the culinary elite of the eastern seaboard. 
 

Our Claim to Fame
Cappuccinos has won numerous awards for our wedding cakes, savories and pastries. We have won 3 years in a row with The Knot, Best of Weddings, rated by the Knot brides for best wedding cakes. We have also been recognized by Southern New England Weddings., Newport Life Magazine, which we won awards for Best cakes and Wedding Cakes in Newport county, also, best pastries for the past 4 years. We have been featured in RI Monthly and Chattybrides.com. We have also been featured in Wedding Style New England for the wedding cake we did for the Trump family, their Best of New England issue 2008. Our Specialties

Our Bakery specializes in unique wedding cakes. Also our hand decorated sugar cookie favors are wildly popular. We have won numerous awards for our pastries. Our favorite cake to make is our beach theme shell cake, made with white chocolate sea shells, complete with Adirondack chairs and sand dune fencing.

Tastings & Consultations
Call us for a appointment that best suits you, no limit on guests you would like to bring to the tasting, although 4 is best for the bride. We serve many types of cakes and fillings for you to try. If you are going for something unusual, let us know when you make your tasting appointment and we will make

 


OUR TEAM
Our team consists of two cake artist and two trained bakers, James Botelho, formaly of the White Horse Tavern and Melanie Disano in some of the most popular Bakery in R.I. Melanie has won numerious awards for her baking over the years.
Our cake artists, Kate Rebko graduated from the Art and Culinary Institute of Philadelphia and Phay Kim graduated from Johnson and Whales Culinary University in Pastry Arts. Both Kate and Phay have over 10 years experience with varying degrees of talents and skills. It allows us to create wedding cakes and specialty cakes for the budget conscience to designs for the "rich and famous."  

This hydrangea cake was made for a member of Donald Trumps family in 2007 for a destination wedding in Newport R.I.
Our famous hand decorated all butter cookies make the perfect favor for any occasion, weddings, bridal showers, birthdays. We have shipped these cookies all over the country.
